About Our Custom Laser Cutting & Engraving

Layermade Workshop operates with a level 4 type laser machine (for now) and is capable of engraving most materials under 2" thick and cutting through materials 1/4" thick depending on the material itself (see List of Materials below).  Most jobs are billed based on time spend within the machine itself and estimated are calculated according the laser's software.  Please note that the cutting process is actually much quicker than the engraving process. The machine can cut and trace around any provided vector path, whereas it must engrave line by line dramatically lengthening the process.  If you are working within a budget, please plan your project accordingly.
